Teer Dream Numbers

Dream numbers are a traditional way of linking something seen in a dream to a two-digit number. This page explains how those references work, and lists common dream subjects with their Numbers, House and Ending digits — cultural material, not declared results or predictions.

What dream numbers are

In Teer circles, a dream number is a two-digit number that popular tradition links to something seen in a dream: a person, an animal, an object, a place or an event. The links are passed on through printed lists and word of mouth. There is no single agreed list, and TeerOnline does not claim that any dream number is connected to a result.

How a dream is matched to a number

The usual method is to pick out the main subject of the dream, look it up in a list of traditional associations and read off the number or numbers given for it. Some lists give one number for a subject, others give several. A dream about a river is looked up under “river”, not under the whole story of the dream. This page explains how such lists work; it does not reproduce a full list.

One dream can contain several subjects

A dream about a friend driving a car in heavy rain contains at least three subjects: a friend, a car and rain. Each one is looked up on its own, and each gives its own reference. Traditional lists do not treat a whole dream as a single entry, and there is no accepted way of merging separate numbers into one.

Details can change the entry

Seeing water, swimming in water, crossing a river and falling into water are not always the same entry. Whether a list treats them alike depends on the list, so it helps to read how a list words each subject before relying on it.

Why lists disagree

Different printed and spoken lists can give different numbers for the same dream. They grew out of local custom, were copied and adapted over time, and none has been checked against outcomes. When two lists disagree there is no way to say which one is right, so a number from any one list should never be presented as universal.

TeerOnline's dream numbers list

The list below is one version of the traditional dream-number reference, grouped by subject. Each row names a dream subject and gives the Numbers commonly linked to it, plus its House and Ending digit where the source stated one directly. A separate Digits column holds any single digit the source linked to a subject without saying whether it was a House or an Ending digit — rather than guess, that digit is kept on its own. A dash (–) means that column has no value for that subject.

Like any dream list, this one is a single version among several in circulation; see “Why lists disagree” above before treating any row as more than a traditional reference.

Animals

Animals, birds and insects make up one of the largest groups in traditional dream-number lists, from snakes and cows to a stray spider.

How to use this list

Find the dream subject closest to what you remember and read across its row. Numbers are full two-digit values linked to that subject; House and Ending are single-digit associations the source stated directly, used the same way as the House and Ending digits covered above; Digits holds a single digit the source gave without saying which position it belonged to, so it is shown on its own rather than placed in House or Ending by guesswork. A dream is often more than one subject — a dream about a dog running across a paddy field has two rows to check, Dog and Paddy field, not one combined entry (see “One dream can contain several subjects” above). Matching a row afterwards to a declared result does not show that the dream caused it.

Dream numbers, House and Ending

Like any two-digit number, a dream number has a House (its first digit) and an Ending (its second digit). The Teer Formula guide explains both with worked examples and shows how number methods are checked against past results.

Dream numbers and declared results

A dream reference and a declared result are different things. Declared FR and SR results are published for each game, and today’s Teer results are on the homepage; earlier results are kept on each game’s previous results page. A dream number is never a declared result, and a match found afterwards does not show that a dream caused a result.

Can a dream number guarantee a result?

No. A dream number is a traditional reference. A past match cannot establish that a dream caused a result, or that the same number will appear in a future round. TeerOnline does not provide predictions; see the Disclaimer for details.
